November Studio Break- Wine, Weather, and Local Wanderlust

The first week of November we took a very brief studio break/vacation while my husband was able to get some more vacation time (he has a pretty physical job over the team receiving in freight for a large retail store in in the metro). We took a road trip down through the Ada/McAlester area and stayed at the Wakefield Country Inn and Winery, where I was able to get some beautiful photographs, sketch and unplug for a little while before returning to fall deadlines and projects...

Speaking of photographs... I have also added the subdomain of my photo website so all my photos are in one nice neat location- have you been yet?

Pam and Steve Wakefield own the winery and run the "Inn" like a bed and breakfast. It's very romantic and they both cook and do the wine tastings, it's like visiting and staying with family.

Going to the Talimena Drive was a daunting task because it got foggy! Here is a shot from my phone with a filter where you can see the elevation AND the fog levels! We didn't make it all the way up the mountains because we reached a point where there was zero visibility!

yes, there are mountains in Oklahoma! see... way over..uh...there.
