New Painting: Secret Door
This weekend I completed a new painting called Secret Door...
It is a fantasy piece that is reminiscent of the Secret Garden and a few other references (the subject's dress is inspired by a Tim Burton styled dress I have seen many years ago)
About the dragonflies: In a cemetery by the Paseo Arts District where we used to live, in one corner one summer, we found several little soft dragonfly sculptures sticking out of the dirt, perhaps made by a church or school class- and that corner of the cemetery was swarming with sparkly dragonflies! It was like a little "dragonfly shrine"... very peaceful...
