New Oil in progress: Warning... there are spiders in this one ;)

A few days ago I started a new oil painting.  We have been having rain and I picked up a vanilla scented candle and my usual caffeinated beverage. Anywho, here are some photos of what I've been doing with her... I have some shots with chairs/bikes in the background for scale :)

The spiders are cobalt blue tarantulas. There will be several in the finished piece and the background will be somewhat darker. Spiders are one of the things I paint that are either loved or they weird out a viewer or two... or more.  Hopefully I can continue to keep making you feel either love or weirdness.
